The Wikimedia Foundation wiki uses a whitelist. Non-approved editors make edits on Meta and someone with an account copies those across. This is confusing and time consuming and the two are rarely in synch. My feature request is to let anyone edit a draft version directly on the Foundation wiki. This is not displayed to readers until someone on the whitelist approves the edit. There are more details at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_site_feedback/edit_approval
MediaWiki does not get any moderation system and it is not part of our .plan. Better to use a content management system for that.

WONTFIX makes no sense since it's not a bug to fix. It's a feature request. If someone wants to make it, it can be an extension so I've changed the "Product" type. I very much doubt "MediaWiki does not get any moderation system" will remain true for long. What is wrong with leaving it open?
I believe http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Flagged_Revisions covers this bug.
