In Wikipedia, there is a tab to edit my preferences. After selecting that, I choose "Date and Time". In the time zone information provided there is no AM or PM given. Consequently, for a long time my offset was 12 hours off from what it should have been, before I figured out what the problem was.

Not sure if bug 10911 is the same issue? This seems to be about unclear information in preferences, whereas that's asking for new date/time formats a 12-hour time.

Adding a new time format which uses am/pm is easy, but which date format should it have? etc..
It's currently showing me: Server time: 14:05 Local time: 09:05 which clearly does not need am or pm. There's no indication on that page that I've specifically selected 24-hour time, so that's probably the default, and this is worksforme.
Pretty sure this is about the option of having 12-hour time with AM/PM designations. REOPENING.
Is this bug about MediaWiki or Wikimedia?
