If a page has a title that is equal to the maxmimum length allowed then it cannot be moved, and "what links here" and "related changes" cannot be checked. If you try to do any of these you get the Bad title error page. It can be deleted but not undeleted, and deleted edits cannot be viewed. When looking at the deleted page the "view or restore..." link is greyed out. The Undelete button results in the Bad title error. You can view the page history, printable version and permanent link without any problems. I have included all these in the one bug as I presume that they are all related. Say if you would prefer them split into separate bugs. Example article: [[Dante And Randal And Jay And Silent Bob And A Bunch Of New Characters And Lando, Take Part In A Whole Bunch Of Movie Parodies Including But Not Exclusive To, The Bad News Bears, The Last Starfighter, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, Plus A High Scho]] Example userspace page: [[User:Thryduulf/Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, pede et congue viverra velit placerat, amet nec mauris nullam justo ac praesent. Urna maecenas in neque, ridiculus aliquam sodales nec turpis volutpat ullamcorper, mauris sodales velit sit a. Aliquet id fusce. Auc]]
Note the examples are both on en.wp
The problem is the use of "Special:Movepage/blah" instead of "Special:Movepage" with a target parameter (which works just fine). The extra-long title gets rejected.
Cleaned up a few instances of using <special page>/parameter link forms in SkinTemplate.php where it was occurring.
The problems seem to have been resolved; I've done all the above actions on a 255-character title on Meta.
