Hallo! Sorry for this! I assume that 'Media:' does not apear in standard links from the user interface. However starting from [[user:Gangleri/tests/media]] I noticed the red link at [[special:Whatlinkshere/Media:Northern_Spotted_Owl.USFWS-thumb.jpg]] issue 1: The title shows "Editing Media:Northern Spotted Owl.USFWS-thumb.jpg" This should be "Editing Image:Northern Spotted Owl.USFWS-thumb.jpg" issue 2: [[Image:Northern Spotted Owl.USFWS-thumb.jpg]] was on my watchlist but at the link from the url the "Watch" tag was *still* shown. best regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
P.S. At the url the first tag is a red "Media page". It should be a blue "Image"

The bug is not in the title handling here, but the fact that /blah/index.php?title=Media:Foo.png&action=edit (for instance) produces an edit form at all. Like I said above; the page in question is called "Media:Foo" so it's not being watched.

This particular issue (with the edit page/alt actions) seems to be resolved; the canonical image/file namespace is shown throughout the page. Page view needs a slight adjustment to redirect to the canonical URL, which I'm splittout out as bug 16677.
