In the English Wikipedia, the main page is in the article namespace ([[Main
page]]), even though it is project-related content.  It should be located at
[[Wikipedia:Main page]].

It's there for historical reasons. This is something which would need to be
brought up with the massive community on En. - and can be changed by them at
leisure.
