I have an idea who could be interesting. I have seen that it was possible to tag edits on [[Special:Recentchanges]] to show to all users that an edit is good (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Patrolled_edit). It could be really interesting to do the same thing on [[Special:Newpages]]. The idea is that on some wikipedias (French for example), a good bunch of new articles are created every day (around 500). So, it's almost impossible to check every new articles on Recentchanges. New articles are usually checked on Newpages but I have found out that some 1 or 2-days-old junk articles haven't been deleted and so I think that some bad articles aren't checked (and some others are checked multiple times). It could be interesting to allow "old" conributors (# of edits>500 or 1000) and sysops to tag articles to improve the efficiency and to prevent bad articles to come in wikipedia. A tag would allow to see immediatly on Newpages which new articles need to be checked. Thanks in advance.
Unpatrolled new pages *are* distinguised in Special:Newpages.
