Description Rotem Liss 2006-03-31 20:13:22 UTC
In the Hebrew projects and the Yiddish Wikipedia, there is an expanded edit
toolbar with some more functions. Why not adding it to MediaWiki?
Comment 1 Rotem Liss 2006-03-31 20:13:48 UTC
I will create a patch soon.

Are those images released under the GNU General Public Licence?

I think they are, but I would check it.

> Are those images released under the GNU General Public Licence?

I've checked, and each of them is under the GNU FDL, except "Button_strike.png"
which is not specified; however, you can use the similar image
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/he/c/c9/Button_strike.png instead, which
is GFDL.
Comment 6 JeLuF 2006-05-28 15:55:30 UTC
The GFDL is not compatible with the GPL.
Comment 7 Jimmy Collins 2006-07-30 07:01:32 UTC
It would be nice, if a user could decide and set by preferences if he want to
see the "normal" edit toolbar or this extended one.

Preferences -> Editing -> ...
[...]
[x] Show edit toolbar (JavaScript)
[x] Show extended edit toolbar (JavaScript)
[...]

I respectfully disagree. Having too many preferences is too confusing.
Comment 9 Niklas Laxström 2010-07-15 14:21:42 UTC
I think the new usability initiative toolbar will replace the old one and thus we can close this bug.
