On a long table, the header row scrolls off the screen. It would be nice if it floated at the top of the visible portion of the table while scrolling down the table, so that the labels for each column could be seen.
This suppose that MW knows what a headers. I’m not sure it is the case…
Is there a minimal testcase for this problem? What are exact steps, so somebody else could follow these steps in order to reproduce the problem? Which MediaWiki version is this about (or does this happen on Wikimedia servers?)

Which > MediaWiki version is this about (or does this happen on Wikimedia servers?) In case anyone reads this later, here's the requested information: 1. Go to a page that contains a long table, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Academy_Awards_for_Walt_Disney#Competitive_Academy_Awards 2. Scroll down to the end of the table. 3. Can you still see the first row of the table on your computer screen? I can't. Do you happen to remember what the label for each column is? I don't. This happens everywhere, on all versions of all Mediawiki software. This is basically a request for Excel's "Freeze Top Row" feature.
