The project name and sitename should be װיקינײַעס according to YIVO spelling; the equivalent without precombined charactes is וויקינייעס Please see [[w:project:LanguageYi.php_Revision_1.8#addition_per_bugzilla:04786]] for the additions namespace variants required per bug 4960. I will not be responsible for looking after the content created on a test wiki. I also have no desire to encounter difficulties when transferring the data to the Wikimedia cluster.
Thanks Rob! We should get this solved. Especially because the sitename specified at comment 0 is *invalid* . It contains an embeding general punctuation character. I can't find any approval for the creation of this wiki. Where was it approved?
Wikis must go through the process of approval described by [[m:Meta:Language proposal policy]], even if they were proposed before the policy was implemented. This is to prevent problems such as political repression by out-voting, attempts to falsify votes by creating many accounts per person, empty wikis that even today attract vandalism, spam, and bias, the inactivity of the original supporters, takeover of a small wiki by another language group or a group of friends, and so forth. The language subcommittee was formed to prevent these problem in all future wikis, including those proposed but not created before the subcommittee was created. Thus far, no approved wiki has had such issues. Please read the policy and place a new request at [[m:Requests for new languages]]. The wiki will be approved once the criteria have been met.
