When the api generates the User from the OAuth token, the session doesn't seem to be getting setup correctly.

The end result is that edit tokens don't seem to be saved for the user between retrieval and making an edit. Not sure if it's not saving the session when the token is first retrieved, or if it's not setting up the session when the user makes the edit.
