Twice now I've uploaded .ogv files (made with RecordMyDesktop, if that helps) and gotten a popup that very helpfully informs me, "loadImages bad". This appears directly after I choose the file to upload, and I'm guessing it has something to do with the inability to find a thumbnail image? Anyway, at the very least a more descriptive error message might be nice.

where does this happen exactly? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard ? Does it also happen on http://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard ? Which approx. filesize do these files have?

Yes, it happens at Special:UploadWizard on Commons. I do not seem to be getting the error on test2.

The files were https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:RefTools_rework.ogv and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:VisualEditor_reference_tutorial.ogv, which are 84.02 and 86.73 MB, respectively.
