When Wikinews gained upload privileges in Spring 2005, uploads were not turned
on for sv.wikinews. Please update their configuration.

Is this project still active? "Svenskspråkiga Wikinews har inte uppdaterats på mycket länge." = "swedish language wikinews has not been updated in long time" (or similiar) sounds strange to me.

Special:Upload goes to Commons.

I will close this bug as WONTFIX. If you still need the upload please reopen this bug.

Yes, there's some activity, though I don't know if the project is still considered active. However, note that 4 of the last day's edits were by the Commons delinker bot - removing images deleted from Commons which should have been hosted on sv.wikinews in the first place.

I appreciate how the techs are making policy for the projects, instead of the other way around.

The bug was not handled because it's missing the "shell" keyword. I have a filter showing me all the tickets tagged as "shell" and go through them from time to time. Without the tag, this one never caught my attention.

Perhaps I'll have to make a "new ticket without shell keyword" list and go through them, too :-(
