Any link to sources.wikipedia.org is most likely targeted to a text in English, not to the Wikisource Portal.
I disagree. I went through the English and Spanish Wikipedia's correcting all the broken links. When I saw this bug I just searched the English Wikipedia again to see if I had missed a bunch. Besides old talk pages I only found one link to sources.wikipedia.org. It was was on a Help page about Google searching and I fixed it. So I think anything linking to sources.wikipedia.org is quite unlikely to be targeted at the eniglish wikisource, because such links are non-english and non-spanish wikipedias.

Why? The users of the other Wikipedias should know English (those of them who don't know just won't link there), and there wasn't a Wikisource in any other language - why shouldn't they link to texts in English in Wikisource in the External Links? I've seen that in one page of the Hebrew Wikipedia, and I'm sure there are others - either in the Hebrew Wikipedia and in other Wikipedias.
