It would be useful to have git-review installed on all Labs machines.  Among other things, this would allow downloading changes for testing with:

git review -d 12345

rather than copying the full fetch command.

sorry but there is no point in installing anything what is not necessarily needed for OS to boot to default image (IMHO even git shouldn't be present in minimal package).

Members of specific labs projects can ask their admins to install the package to specific servers, but no point in forcing everyone in having this

By labs do you mean 'toollabs' or just labs in general?

I mean Labs in general.  I don't really agree with your assessment.  git-review is 140KB expanded, for software that eases use with key infrastructure (Gerrit).

However, you're right individual projects can also do it.
