Description Richard Brisley 2006-02-25 02:54:04 UTC
If you insert a picture in the middle of a bullet list ie

1. one
2. two
3. three <picture>
4. four

instead of the list counting up as above it actually considers the picture the end of
the list so what you actually get is.

1. one
2. two
1. three <picture>
2. four

Using pictures like this makes sence I've come from an article on wikipedia (Article:
Rimmon) where the author put a picture of the Torah next to the item about the Torah.
Hope that all makes sence and I'm helping rather than hindering!

This is not exactly a duplicate of, but would be fixed by, [[Bug 4281]]

Dear Richard!

I would say this bug report is INVALID:
At http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rimmon&action=edit&oldid=35297975
you will see
# one
# two
# three
# four
[[Image:V11p129001 Torah.jpg|150px|right|thumb|Torah with rimmonim]]
# next one
# next two
# next three

If you delete the "end of line" in line four list numbering will be OK.

Do you agree?

should read Bug 4281: Allow users to set a starting digit in ordered lists

No "new lines" are allowed in numbered lists. In order to "format" long list
items requiring many lines in the texteditor see
Bug 5121: Facilitate bidirectional editing / readability via a trailing escape
character (as "\") at the end of line

Hi Reinhardt,

Yes your quite right when I found the page it was the way you list above in
comment #2. Should have realised I just needed to tag the picture on the end of
the preceeding line.
Doh!
I've updated the page now I've realised and all is well thanks for your help. Bug
5121 is intresting Ill put it in my hat for use later!

Best Regards,
Richard

Your welcome Richard!

Changing resolution to INVALID because this is not a software bug. Adding also
initial url.
