Description Elitre 2013-06-25 09:00:47 UTC
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utente:Syrio/Bozzoli, we tried changing the author's name in ref.6 to "abbé Paul Guérin". VE allows editing it, but after clicking twice on Apply Changes, the former name is still displayed and the page can not be saved as the button does not work. (Also, it does not allow us to re-try immediately or to edit other references, you need to reload the page for that). So I did a dummy edit to plain text, and I was allowed to save then, but the result http://it.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Utente%3ASyrio%2FBozzoli&diff=59659908&oldid=59651683 has nothing to do with poor abbé Guérin.

[Sorry for being so late in replying to this bug!]

Can this still be reproduced? If so, in what browser? I can edit the reference fine in Firefox and Chrome.

(When you edit a reference, VisualEditor goes off and asks for the reference list to be re-created; temporarily, while that is happening, the original form remains shown in the reference list. However, this behaviour should be very quick, and should not prevent the user from editing.)

You are right, it works now. Can this be due to people adding TemplateData to that template? Since we're here, I attached the screenshot of what happens when you try and edit it with Vector. You need to reach and click the light blue bar in order to change something in that line. It works, though.

(Sorry, that was meant to be "with Vector on Chrome", it's ok on FF).

It's possible that TemplateData would mean that it was difficult to edit, yes; sorry. :-(
