Description Andrew Dunbar 2006-02-06 16:45:12 UTC
Just as we have "Hide bots" for Recent changes, I think it
is needed for the Watchlist. In fact I think all the
show/hide options should be the same for both.

Please enable this! It's as simple as setting $wgFilterRobotsWL = true;

My watchlist is unusable because bots are flooding it with edits to year articles.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2006-03-09 21:29:59 UTC
The watchlist is meant explicitly to display everything you're watching; just
because a bot made the change doesn't mean it should be hidden here.

The option should be provided to the user to show/hide bots. This has been used
on da.wp for the past 8 months, according to Wegge.

If default setting for the watchlists would be "Show bots" then backward
compatibility is assured.

I don't see any use for this. The watchlist is there to show you which of
your pages have changed recently, which it does.

So "Recent pages" is *not* there there to show you which of all pages have changed
recently??

Why do you see a use for it with Recent pages but not with the watchlist?

Are features added because users request them or only they match one developer's
narrow interpretation of the parent feature?
