I think this in particular is an issue for Wikibooks, as there have been a huge number of changes to MediaWiki software, and en.wikibook has been moved around to several places with unfortunately general neglect on the part of Wikibooks participants as well. One minor problem is that there are a fairly large number of pages on Wikibooks that are simply inconsistant and simply weird that they even exist. I am using the example of the broken redirects to give an example of this: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Special%3ABrokenRedirects Note in particular the page named "Wikipedia: Fool's Mate" In this case, it would be normally a page that would be impossible to create on Wikibooks, but because it was started before the implementation of namespaces it has been cluttered up. There are several other pages like this scattered around Wikibooks and are a minor annoyance when trying to do project maintainance, as you look and realize that you can't get to the page or do any sort of cleanup even with sysop privileges. This may also be an indication of other problems with MediaWiki software unrelated to namespace pages that haven't been deleted.
Looks like we ran an update of the namespace. There is no more issue on en.wikibooks.org.
