Using a <inputbox> within a template transcluded on a page makes all <nowiki>
and <math> elements on the page show as a random string of characters. An
example can be found on [[Village pump (technical)#Bug report: search box]]
(remove the <nowiki> around the template call and do a preview).

Only seems to happen when included through the template. Substing in the template 
contents, there's no problem:
