The namespaces should be:

Portal
Discuţie_Portal

Comment 2 Mihai Floran 2006-01-31 22:10:37 UTC
Please try to create this because we have pages to create. Thanks!
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2006-02-03 03:33:12 UTC
Done. Namespace conflicts automatically resolved into correct namespace. (You may need to
rename any talk pages manually since the associated talk is at a different name.)
Comment 4 Mihai Floran 2006-02-03 14:29:36 UTC
Please add

Portal
Discuţie_Portal

in Romanian language file.

Hi Mihai!

Your request would add these two custom namespaces to every MediaWiki
installation using Romanian as "content language". MediaWiki is designed to
create only the default namespaces.

If you would like to have 'Portal' and 'Discuţie_Portal' at the Romanian sister
projects you should close this bug as FIXED and open individual requests for
b:ro:, n:ro:, q:ro:, s:ro: and wikt:ro: (last should be also
use $wgCapitalLinks=false; ).

best regards reinhardt user:gangleri
Comment 6 Brion Vibber 2006-02-03 18:14:11 UTC
I'm reclosing this as fixed. The separate request to change the base language files
will not be done.
Comment 7 Mihai Floran 2006-02-03 19:56:48 UTC
I was not speaking about every single language file but just Romanian Wikipedia
one? Wasn't I clear enought? Portal is not needed for now at sister projects.

Without beeing that in the lang file it appears like this in Portal pages:
<nstab-portal>

For example see http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Cotidian and all the other
portals.
Comment 8 Rob Church 2006-02-03 20:16:17 UTC
Add it yourself. Edit MediaWiki:Nstab-portal and MediaWiki:Nstab-portal-talk.
Comment 9 Mihai Floran 2006-02-03 20:22:32 UTC
Thank you. Gangleri did it.

Thanks Rob!

Added ro:MediaWiki:Nstab-portal and ro:MediaWiki:Nstab-portal-talk.
See http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/special:Prefixindex/Nstab?namespace=8

It might be a good idea to create 'MediaWiki:Nstab-foo' with content 'foo' for
namespace 'foo' with the same script that moves the pages.

Acording to
Bug 4852: For custom namespaces don't use MediaWiki:Nstab-foo use
MediaWiki:Nstab-nnnn
the script should create 'MediaWiki:Nstab-nnnn' with content 'foo' for namespace
.

*why*
This is the third comment about this issue. You can find the other comments at
Bug 4339: 'MediaWiki:Nstab-portal' missing in the Allmessages
Bug 4278: Changes on tabs for namespaces 100 and 101

Or we could, you know, leave namespaceDupes to do what it says on the tin, and
hope that people are able to create a simple page in a wiki.
