Yes, the UW is pretty great, but one annoyance is not being able to customise the whole description before saving it.

You're given the boxes to fill in, fine, but I want to be able to paste the whole description, templates and all from elsewhere, rather than having to upload/save and then edit it...

I won't code anything for such a thing before I have a design spec.

Simplest way of doing this IMHO is to have a checkbox (and maybe a relevant preference?) at the bottom of the guided description page. If checked, it takes you to the next screen which is just the normal MW edit box

Right, but people may not like this. So, I want to have consensus before trying to make such a big change. Or maybe the person in charge could approve this.

Besides, I am not sure if its possible to take it to the MW edit box. Might need a fair bit of work for that.
