I'm using the urlencode extension with template parameters, e.g. in a template I 
define:

[http://www.site.com?q=<urlencode>{{{1}}}</urlencode> {{{1}}}]

In a regular page I use:

{{Template:Xyz|search query}}

The result is sometimes a link to

http://www.site.com/?q=UNIQ52ac38b71d043475-urlencode4f992fb01f5478a700000001

And in other cases it is:

http://www.site.com/?q=%3Cp%3E%7B%7B%7B1%7D%7D%7D%0A%3C%2Fp%3E

Was just curious about what is [[meta:Urlencode]]?
