In the My uploads view, image tiles usually look good. But images with very long aspect ratios (such as panoramas) look terrible: scaled up from a square crop that is smaller than the target tile size.

Suggestions on a solution?
Comment 2 Sage Ross 2013-02-27 01:25:50 UTC
Fetch a thumbnail of the size of the tile on its smallest side, so that the crop for the tiles will not need to be scaled up?

Switch to Android component.

As the Mobile Apps Team is focussing on the new, native Wikipedia app, the Commons app is no longer being maintained by the Wikimedia Foundation. I am WONTFIXing all open Commons app bugs to reflect that we will not be spending time fixing them.
