Hi I have tried to ban annonymous users from editing the pages but it did not 
work. When I add the codes in LocalSettings.php file I get this:

I have already tried several places inside the file(to add codes) there is no 
spelling mistake, no spaces and no empty lines in the file.

I do not use the broken file so any one can make changes in pages freely!!

any idea?

Obviously you've broken the file in some way. You'll want to fix it.
If you used an editor that adds a UTF-8 BOM character, remove it.

thank you very much  Brion Vibber,

I was using the MS Notepad to edit the file and it was set to UTF-8 as 
you said. I made it ANSI and the site is greate now. Thanks again
