Several users on de.wikipedia reported that they still have pages on their watchlists, which are neither correctly sorted to the proper namespace section, nor can be removed from the list at all. Concretely, this seems to affect only pages that where moved from [Portal Foo] to [Portal:Foo]. There is a nearly entire list of concerned pages: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:PortalBot/Portalverschiebungen The alternative would be to look up Allpages for ns:100 to get an overview. Examples: 1) [[de:Portal:Wartung]] is on my watchlist (which is a red link; both forms, with and without the colon, were deleted, the page was moved to [[de:Wikipedia:Wartung]]). The red link wrongly shows up in the main namespace section and I can't remove it from there, even not by creating the page, watch and unwatch it manually, or delete it again ... it stays there. 2) [[de:Portal:Lebewesen]] (an existing page) is also on my watchlist (viewing the page directly, I see the button "unwatch" and Special:Watchlist correctly informs me about changes), but the page is unnecessarily listed twice, in the sections of the main namespace and in ns:100. I tryed to remove it from the list by using the checkbox, but that had no effect ( I can't remove it from the ns:0 section, but from the correct ns:100 section. 3) [[de:Portal:Architektur und Bauwesen]] (existing page) was also listed in both sections, trying to remove the entry ends up in one entry in the section for ns:0 (the entry in the proper section for portals was removed). I'm not able to remove it from there. Viewing the page directly I see the button "watch". This bug seems a bit close to bug 3065; don't know if it is related.
F***, I hate it when "enter" sends the page too early *grumble* Sorry, but please ignore everything what is written above from 2) downwards, especially 3). --------------------- I continue the initial comment, more carefully now ;-) 2) [[de:Portal:Lebewesen]] (an existing page) is also on my watchlist (viewing the page directly, I see the button "unwatch" and Special:Watchlist correctly informs me about changes), but the page is unnecessarily listed twice, in the section of the main namespace and in the ns:100 section. I tried to remove it from the list by using the checkboxes, but that had no effect (tried both boxes, each separately, and both together). Unwatching the page manually, just removed it from the portal section and I correctly don't see changes on my watchlist no more. But the entry still remains wrongly in the main ns section. After watching the page again, I get the changes on the watchlist, but it is also listed twice again. This bug affects all entries of every moved 'Portal Foo' page on all watchlists of users who were/are watching portal pages before ns:100 got alive afaik, at least on de.wikipedia. I hope you got the point. I'm on IRC for further clarification. This bug seems a bit close to bug 3065; don't know if it is related.
1) Were they "Portal Foo" or "Portal:Foo"? 2) If they were "Portal Foo", can you go to the redirect page and unwatch it, or remove it from 'edit full list' mode on the watchlist?
1) Yes, this bug is only about "Portal:Foo" as written above. 2) "Portal Foo" is correctly (un)watchable as it should (in both ways).
I've removed the bogus watchlist entries. Probably should fix up namespaceDupes.php to find and move these over as an initial step for the next one of these though.
There are still users on de.wikipedia who claim that there are a few pages left on their watchlists, that cannot be unwatched and are listed twice and wrongly in the article section. The affected entries are "Portal talk:Foo". An exact example would be "Portal Diskussion:Imperialismus und Weltkriege". Could you remove these entries, too?
I ran cleanupWatchlist.php to get rid of any remaining bad entries. This should be used when new namespaces are added manually to ensure broken entries don't remain.
