I very much desire the ability to edit my feature requests. I would like to see a wiki set up that parallels all of the bugs in the database, that allows for easy navigation of the bugs. I am not fond of bugzilla, because I make way too many duplicate posts and all that, If there were a wiki wrapper for bugzilla, I could theoretically find the bugs easier. I think I saw this being discussed on the mailing list, anyway, I'm getting chewed out on meta for dropping too many feature requests in with the text, and.. well another wiki, just for bugs, would be so awesome.. I'd just cry. Basically, use templates? to embed bugzilla documents into a wiki... have something like {{bug:342}} and have it call that bug right up in the wiki page. also, another idea is to have a wiki field, in addition to the description... (it's.. basically a question of what is easier to embed in to, mediawiki into bugzilla, or bugzilla into mediawiki)
We've tried managing bugs on a wiki page; it's always been a disaster which quickly ballooned into a giant, unmaintainable mess. Much of the benefit of using a dedicated bug tracking system comes from the organization, the automatic notifications, the multifaceted categorization and search capabilities, and the dependency tracking. A "wiki wrapper" doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. If you just want to link to a bug, go ahead like this: [[bugzilla:400]]
BTW - I've just released a MediaWiki extension that generates reports from Bugzilla, it's read only, but very useful for inlining reports into Wiki pages. See http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:BugzillaReports for more info.
[[Wikia]] is already using such a feature for a while now! See: * http://help.wikia.com/wiki/Help:ProblemReports * http://wikia.com/wiki/Special:ProblemReports?staff=1
