Description Roman Maurer 2005-11-15 20:34:43 UTC
In my preferences I have signature for ~~~ set up to "romanm]] [[User
talk:romanm|(talk)" so that every time I post a signed message I also have a
link to my talk page. As of today, the Wikipedia started to show this instead:

 romanm (talk)

I did not change anything.
Comment 1 Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 2005-11-15 20:37:06 UTC
INVALID, the signiture handling was changed on purpose, this is not a bug.
Comment 2 Roman Maurer 2005-11-15 21:01:40 UTC
Why? Was there a discussion prior to this? How can we now leave links to our
talk pages automaticaly?
Comment 3 Austin Hair 2005-11-15 21:16:58 UTC
The "]] [[" hack has been deprecated for some months since the introduction of
the "raw signature" user preference. Enable this preference and complete the
brackets like so: User:romanm [[User
talk:romanm|(talk)]].
Comment 4 Roman Maurer 2005-11-15 21:34:03 UTC
I see. Thank you very much and sorry for the invalid bugging.
