Hallo! wiktionary:en:Special:Allmessages shows many messages with first character as lowercase letter. Search for "nosuchspecialpage". But you will see that this links to the message wiktionary:en:MediaWiki:Nosuchspecialpage with *N* and *not* to wiktionary:en:MediaWiki:nosuchspecialpage with *n*. Similar behaviour is experienced with the related talk pages: wiktionary:en:MediaWiki_tALk:Nosuchspecialpage with *N* and *not* to wiktionary:en:MediaWiki_talk:nosuchspecialpage with *n*. Please note that the MediaWiki namespace should remain "case sensitive" regarding the first character but the namespace should not be "case sensitive" regarding the first character. Related bug bug 2874: Special namespace case sensitive when $wgCapitalLinks=false; regards reinhardt user:gangleri
Am I missing the point? What's the problem? The message's name is "nosuchspecialpage" and it's defined at MediaWiki:Nosuchspecialpage.
(In reply to comment #1) > Am I missing the point? What's the problem? The message's name is > "nosuchspecialpage" and it's defined at MediaWiki:Nosuchspecialpage. The issue arived from the perspective of *wiki users* which might *not* familiar with MediaWiki topics / variables / details / messages etc. The only world *they* know are wiki-titles. In case sensitive wiki's the names from the list and the page titles in the MediaWiki namespace do not match any more.
