Description David Woolley 2005-11-12 16:12:14 UTC
If one enters a date as [[2005-11-12]], the generated HTML links to November 12.
If one enters it as [[Nov 12]], [[2005], Mediawiki still localises it according
to the user preferences, but it links to [[Nov 12]], which stands a good chance
of not existing.

When it recognizes a valid wikified date, the softare ought to always generate
one canonical form of month and day link, so that redirects don't have to be
populated for the alternatives. Links are not fully populated on en.wikipedia.org.

(Platform is correct for the browser, but the Mediawiki software is running at
wikimedia.org, not here!)

The OS/Hardware field should only be set to something else than "All" when the
bug occours on a specific platform or on specific hardware, given our
application this is rarely the case.
Comment 2 David Woolley 2005-11-12 17:03:47 UTC
I'd consider the platform reporting issue a meta-bug in Bugzilla. Let's not
have it confuse the thread.
