Description babajobu 2005-11-11 01:51:14 UTC
As it now stands, Wikipedians can choose their desired date format only when
date and year are both linked. However, many of us find linked dates and years
to be annoying, as they increase the link density of articles. Our preference is
to see dates not in any particular format (i.e. 26 April, or April 26), but
rather for to dates appear *unlinked*. Could you please create a patch whereby
"unlinked dates" would itself be one of the available date preferences.

Thank you

Baba Jobu

This would of course break real, explicit, meaningful links to those pages.
Resolving WONTFIX.
