in the examples from bug 3672 some of the special BiDI characters are "probably"

Unicode Characters in the Combining Diacritical Marks Block
are not displayed if they are not used together with other characters.
- such characters are inserted as the first character in a page
- such characters are inserted as the first character in a paragraph, line (etc.?)
