Description Holger Weihe 2005-11-03 09:26:09 UTC
When I enter a gallery in edit-mode:

<gallery>
Bild:Holgi.jpg|Holger, normal
Bild:Superholgi.jpg|Holger, seriös
Bild:Glatzmorph opt.gif|Holger, animiert
</gallery>

after saving the gallery is shown as something like
NaodW29-pre34dd33094b5aa2f300000001

Sometimes even in edit-mode the gallery-block is substituted by the code afterward. But this is not permanent if I
don't save.

The images themselves, not included in a gallery, work fine.

The same problem sometimes even occurs in a <nowiki> block:
<nowiki>
[[Bild:Prism rainbow schema.png|framed|Ein [[Prisma (Optik)|Prisma]] mit Rahmen]]
</nowiki>

is also shown as a code described as above.

Versions are:
MediaWiki: 1.5.0
PHP: 4.4.1 (cgi)
MySQL: 4.0.24

Upgrade to 1.5.2.

I got the same thing when I used to the code tag on my Wiki. Upgrading did not
fiix the issue. I fact it erased all the original code I had entered and
replaced it in the DB as NaodW29-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. It only
happened with the code tag across the entire site.
The rest of the tag displayed just fine.

Upgrading doesn't magically fix already-corrupted entries. You have to fix them
yourself from the history.
