I put an anchor called Back to Contents at the top of my long page: <div id="Back to Contents">ToC</div>. Then I made many [[#Back to Contents]] links at the bottom of each section. At first they worked beautifully, then I dropped the "ToC" and they still worked. Then I added a new section by adding a heading within an existing section. Now none of the links does anything beyond putting a dotted box around the link and saying Done on the bottom line of the Firefox window. Mousing over one of these links shows a complete address from the http to the "tents" (with blanks replaced by underscores). Wow, while putting underscores into the links made no difference, when I, for the first time, PUT UNDERSCORES INTO THE ANCHOR, it finally FIXED EVERYTHING. ARRRRRGH!!!! Please don't make things that work SOMETIMES. They drive me crazy. What happened? Is there anything I can do to get another hint about the problem or how to fix it?
Please check the output for whether your links are correct.
tray to use underscores instead of spaces <div id="Back_to_Contents">ToC</div> see http://test.leuksman.com/view/Bug_3796#Back_to_Contents regards Reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
