Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description River Tarnell 2004-09-03 23:54:33 UTC
<tt> ... </tt> is very widely used markup in some places, so it'd be very useful
if a ''-style method existed to make it quicker, i.e. ``some monespace text``

Can we get a brief comment and WONTFIX or INVALID from a dev?
Comment 4 Brion Vibber 2005-06-15 22:02:37 UTC
I think we're pretty much trying to avoid adding new markup until some possible
future Great Markup Change (hisssss). This is particularly so for things we
already have alternate markup for (eg, <tt>)

So gonna mark this WONTFIX for now.
