ALt Text missing from links-Non Breeding Plumage

The pages below have images that do not have ALT text that ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY tool such as JAWS and NVDA need to read the links. Markup language does not follow guidelines. I tried open source NVDA to check it and WAVE accessibilty tool to identify the area.Markup language does not follow WCAG v1 13.1( Priority 2) guidelines. Image attached for illustration.

Nothing specific to AFT as this also happens on the main page. This is basically bug 24586.
