Description Brion Vibber 2004-09-03 22:06:06 UTC
1.4 now uses a logging table instead of funky wiki pages to log uploads, deletions, etc. When upgrading a
wiki, the data in the log pages should be imported into the logging table insofar as possible, and perhaps
the old pages redirected to the appropriate Special:Log section.

There's a partial import script in maintenance, it needs to be finished up before release and an updater
added to the set.

1.4.0 released; kicking back to 1.5 blockers.

Reassigning to enhancements.

Not sure how much of an issue this still is. I would *hope* that most of the
pre-1.4 wikis have now been upgraded, at least to the 1.5 or 1.6 branches. The
log table itself has been used in MediaWiki for about four release cycles
now...it *might* be best to let this one fade into the ether?

Probably not worth the bother.
