Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Duncan Harris 2005-10-12 12:44:14 UTC
This is really to do with the Mediawiki settings I think.

Take a look at an example category, for the sake of argument
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Preserved_British_steam_locomotives .

The page has two headings; 'Subcategories' and 'Articles in category "$foo"'.

The media files appear after the 'There are $bar articles in this category' text
and thus under the heading 'Articles in category "$foo"'. This is wrong, as
they are not articles!

The media files ought to appear under a third heading called 'Media in category
"$foo"'.

Dunc :)

... and don't forget a counter for the media files :-)
It is badly needed, especially on Commons.

FIXED. Ages ago.
Comment 7 Daniel Kinzler 2006-11-10 23:36:09 UTC
fixed? I see no heading for media files, nor do I see a counter for them. Reopened.
Comment 8 Jamie Hari 2006-11-10 23:38:32 UTC
THANK YOU DANIEL!
I was JUST about to do that. Here is proof:

I currently run MediaWiki 1.8.2.

Comment 9 Rob Church 2006-11-11 13:06:14 UTC
In particular, when closing a bug as fixed, it's always possible to provide a
revision number/range where the change was introduced.
Comment 10 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-11-12 03:16:47 UTC
Added in r17554.
Comment 11 Duncan Harris 2006-11-12 10:22:21 UTC
And what about a counter? Or does that need to be filed separately?
Comment 12 Aryeh Gregor (not reading bugmail, please e-mail directly) 2006-11-12 18:28:46 UTC
File it separately, please. It's less of a superficial addition.
Comment 13 Duncan Harris 2006-11-12 19:16:13 UTC
OK that's here then: http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7892
