Dear all, Edit tools provided above edit window in vector skin(Usability initiative) on Marathi Language Wikipedia need following changes (Local community approval at [http://mr.wikipedia.org/wiki/विकिपीडिया:कौल]) *Special Charecter section in Edit tools provided above edit window should include virtual keyboard for phonetic and inscript narayam As such facility we request in a)Globally to all Marathi media wikis b) We are likely to extend the following request also after due community approval on meta above facility On selection of Marathi as user language in user preferences in all wikis
This special characters toolbar is not really designed for such a thing. It's a very simple toolbar that includes buttons for all the characters of a script. So it's probably WONTFIX as a WikiEditor bug. However, the Localization team is already working on a complete solution for providing an on-screen keyboard for all the supported languages, including Marathi.
For WikiEditor itself this is lowest priority - hence setting it.
As per current developments changed onscreen key board request changed from Narayam to ULS. Would it be better to change Extension component from WikiEditor to ULS ?
Maybe already covered in bug 49681 for ULS? Anyway, closing this as WONTFIX for WikiEditor itself.
