Recent addition to the universal blacklist at meta involved a [[File:Slowpoke.jpg]] in unicode ➡.ws The problem is that it doesn't get blocked as unicode Test edit https://en.wikipedia.org/?diff=477528178 Best I could find to understand this was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internationalized_domain_name

Hint: Go to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Spam_blacklist and search for xn--hgi\.ws The added regex \b➡\.ws\b isn't matching due to the initial \b (➡ isn't text...). What about [/\.]➡\.ws\b ?
The Spam blacklist still contains "\b➡\.ws\b" but it should be fixed at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Spam_blacklist not here.
