I am a sysop on said page, and was doing some page movemment when I lost a page. I was attempting to move a normal article into the category namespace. Looking at the new Category page, no edits were moved at all, and on the former page, all the edits are gone. I was able to restore the corresponding talk page, but all attempts at restoring the article have failed. Trying to undo the move results in "This action cannot be performed on this page.", even if I explicitly name ":Category:foo" in the get string. Steps to reproduce bug. 1. Select article "Foo" to be moved 2. Enter in the new page name as ":Category:Foo" 3. Look at the edit history for ":Category:Foo" and for "Foo" 4. Attempt to undo the move
Note that this problem does not occur in 1.5.
& 1.6cvs prevents moving a page into the Category namespace -- test.wikipedia.org : "Destination title is of a special type; cannot move pages into that namespace."
Old bug from an obsolete branch.
