Historically one could add anything on a redirect page. For some time, everything except for the first line is (silently) dropped. Fortunately there's a workaround where one can add metadata on the same line. #REDIRECT [[Blah]] <!-- metadata --> This metadata is very important for the link-to-redirection fixing bot to work and is specific to the redirect, not to the page it points to, so putting it on the redirect target page would be very impractical and semantically wrong. 1. Please restore the functionality of writing arbitrary things on a redirect page. Give a warning if you need to. 2. Do *NOT* "fix" this workaround. Example (redirect marked as temporary, thus telling the bot not to change links to it into direct links to its target): http://pl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Podtyp&redirect=no
Hallo Tomasz! Is this fixed now? If so please mark the bug as FIXED and add a (new?) sample link. Does this bug "Depends on" or "Blocks" bug 1476? Bug 1476: Category tag on redirect pages does not work Compare with http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=1476 best regards reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
I did a live test on en.wp: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=ABO&diff=34463274&oldid=23970284 and it seems to be fixed. Thx for letting me know :-)
