The lang selection dropdown doesnt render using WebFont. I get or-ପୃଷ୍ instead of or-<'oriya'>
Can I see a screenshot with or-ପୃଷ୍ ? thanks.
This is "works for me" in Chrome 16.0.912.75 on OSX 10.7 and Chrome 16.0.912.75 m on Windows 7. Do you have any more information on operating system and exact browser version and user language?
Created attachment 9834 [details] Oriya on Language Strange "fail" for me. Even Oriya Wikipedia on Tamil interface loads up with squares on Chrome. Firefox is working fine. Chrome 16.0.912.75 , Win XP
Is there anything we need to do? Are you able to reproduce this in latest version of Chrome?
Created attachment 10351 [details] WebFonts doesnt load on dropdown for dz This still exist and I see it even on firefox for language dz. Does webfonts load into dropdown lists at all? I dont see a difference in font.

Does webfonts > load into dropdown lists at all? I dont see a difference in font. Nope, in this case. Because this is a single element with too many scripts displayed. We dont want to load all the fonts. This is almost like a single textbox containing text in all scripts.
And browsers don't really allow styling dropdown fonts, do they?
Marking this bug WONTFIX for these reasons: 1. We cannot have multiple styles for selector options. 2. Even if we replace the html select with say a div based menu, we donot want to load all the required fonts to show scripts in each language( Se how much time it takes to load: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:SupportedLanguages) 3.Language codes are given at the start of options But we will see if this usecase can be achieved somewhere in ULS.
