Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Ryan K. 2005-08-28 01:39:03 UTC
Hey there,
I am attempting to update information for my company's information
page on your encyclopedia website but tonight when I have clicked on the "Edit
this page" link, a download box comes up asking me to download something. Is
there a way to change the settings of my account so that I can update my page
through the website and not have to download anything?

To be more specific, I go to our info page;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Wrestling_Federation and I click on
"edit this page" and the following box comes up:

Do you want to save this file?
Name: index.php
Type: Unkown File Type
From: en.wikimedia.org

How can I keep this from happening and go back to being able to edit it from the
website.

Did you check "Use external editor by default" in your preferences? Turn that off if
so.
Comment 2 Ryan K. 2005-08-28 05:25:33 UTC
It worked! Thank you!
