After successfully restoring deleted edits to merge histories after moving a page over another, the restored edits are not available in the page history tab. I believe incoherent revision sequence numbers may have to do with the fact. The page in question is [[:es:Erythrina crista galli]]; going to the previous diff from http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Erythrina_crista_galli&diff=421680&oldid=533830 follows the revision sequence number instead of the date sequence.
Not enough information to diagnose problem, as I cannot tell which items are the expected ones looking at it now. 1) Force reload (clear cache) of history page to ensure that display is correct. 2) Not enough information to know what you expected about the diff. Please give more information.
I have verified it's not a cache issue. I've looked at the page from a wholly different computer, connected to a different provider, so it can't even be a stale http-proxy-cache issue. There is no way to know anything about the diff because 13 edits have vanished after the restore. In other words: the database seemed to acknowledge the undeletion request, but the deleted-and-undeleted edits are not visible in the history now. To put it bluntly, half the expected page history isn't there and can't be found even through Special:Undelete.
Which 13 edits? What were they? Who edited them or when?
I would dearly like to know. I'm posting the bug because I'd like to be able to undelete them. Unfortunately, I have no screenshots taken before undeletion failed, and they are now not visible. I can only recall there were 13 edits present in [[:es:Erythrina crista galli]] before [[:es:Ceibo]] was moved over it; those were deleted by the move, and it was their undeletion that seems to have failed, leaving them inaccesible both through the history tab and Special:Undelete
Investigating; data loss problems suck. :D A quick delete/move/restore attempt seems to work ok on my test wiki but may or may not be flawless. It would good to confirm that the current 29 items in the page history do or do not include the 13 from the prior page. (The history looks kind of like a merged history to me, with move notices and redirects mixed into the edit stream.)
I've checked the history of these two pages in last months' backup, and it looks a lot like a successful merge; note that the current history includes both the redirect from [[es:Ceibo]] and the edits from the same time period at [[es:Erythrina crista galli]].
