Description bed 2005-08-22 09:11:35 UTC
Hi,

I did not find any request for this kind of feature but, after using Mediawiki for a few weeks, I
would find a kind of Find/Replace function very helpful.

Regards.

I probably was not clear enough but I was rather thinking on such a
feature applicable to a group of articles (maybe in a Category, for
selected pages, ...) or a whole Wiki.

I thought of this because after creating new articles I wanted to create
links to it on older pages. I use the search feature and go through each
page and each occurrence of my new WikiWord, but found this process quite
tedious.

So I re-open this request and if you definitively find it redundant or
uninteresting, I will close it !

Regards and thank you for your attention.

Bertrand

Hi,

I would like to know the present situation of this functionality. Is there actually an
add-on existing, which supports the search/replace feature for entire wiki environment?

Thank you for support!

Daniel

This can be done with the ReplaceText extension.
