BUG MIGRATED FROM SOURCEFORGE http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=920615&group_id=34373&atid=411192 Originally submitted by Nobody/Anonymous - nobody 2004-03-21 21:06 I realized that my "User Contribution" record includes that of mav's. On the record, it is shown that I did the following edit (but I did not): 03:04, 16 Mar 2004 MediaWiki feature request and bug report discussion (moved to "MediaWiki_feature_request_and_bug_report_discussio n") See: http://meta.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml? title=Special:Contributions&target=Tomos But then, when I go to page history, I see that edit is made by mav. http://meta.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml? title=MediaWiki_feature_request_and_bug_report_discussi on&action=history I have little idea how this happened, or how serious it is. But just in case it matters, I am reporting it here. Regards, Tomos ------------------------- Additional comments ------------------------ Date: 2004-03-21 23:58 Sender: SF user vibber Probably a problem with page move moving over existing redirects. There are *14* such broken entries in the history of that page, where the user ID doesn't match the listed user name. :P ------------------------------------------------- Date: 2004-05-26 06:43 Sender: SF user teunspaans On test.wikipedia.org, my 'user contributions' include Ben Baker, but I do not turn up in the history of that article (currently just a redirect without any history) teun spaans ------------------------------------------------- Date: 2004-05-26 07:40 Sender: SF user vibber Attributions on test.wikipedia.org are bogus because of the way the test database was seeded (pulling cur records from enwiki but not the related user records, then creating new user records with potentially conflicting user_id numbers). The symptom is the same, but the cause is unrelated to this bug. ------------------------------------------------- Date: 2004-07-24 11:53 Sender: SF user dittaeva I suppose this one should be closed?
Marking it as invalid.
Re-opening: the meta.wikipedia.org (database) still has the contribution list problem.
Any problem that existed is seemingly fixed, or any raw data that would be uself in finding a fix is now experied. (Avar originally marked invalid too...)
