Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Adam Jones 2005-07-25 03:48:30 UTC
This feature would give users the choice to display a particular WikiPortal
instead of "Main Page" upon entering the URL of the project. So, for example,
upon trying to get to I would see WikiPortal Art (soon,
Portal:Art) straight away, instead of "Main Page". Presumably, I would input my
choice at User Preferences.

Or we could programmatically add a checkbox to the bottom of each page in the
Portal: namespace saying "Take me directly to this page each time I visit". Brion, although I'm sure you'll think such a checkbox would
be horrible UI clutter, :) I think it would be worth it. It would be make it far
easier for computer novices to set the preference.

I'm gonna axe this one on the basis that every browser known to mankind supports
fully user-customizable bookmarks, while user preferences don't help when you're
not logged in yet. :)
