Hallo! http://test.leuksman.com/index.php?title=Template:4x4_type_square/T/leuksman/all/details&action=edit Templates used on this page: * Template:4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/y * Template:4x4 type square/T/more * Template:4x4 type square/T001 * Template:4x4 type square/T011 * Template:Anchor The listed templates are those known with title - "rcid" (?). Nevertheless the page is using also some "nested variable templates" as: * 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER2}}} * 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER3}}} * 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER4}}} * 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER6}}} * 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER8}}} requirement: - minimal: - an indication about the fact that variable templates are used should be added - improved: - links as - - [{{SERVER}}{{localurl:Special:Allpages|namespace=10&from=4x4_type_square/T/leuksman/all/show/}} 4x4 type square/T/leuksman/all/show/{{{SHOWORDER2}}}] should be added Best regards Reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
In plain English, this means...?
I think I can translate... Some templates have titles which depend on other things. I call them dynamic template names, Gangleri calls them nested variable templates. For instance {{foo {{bar}} }}. Gangleri would like MediaWiki to track the source wikitext of the template name, for example the "foo {{bar}}" in my example. The edit page could then show a list of these dynamic template names. Alternatively, MediaWiki could show all possible page titles which both exist in the database and which could be formed from the static text in a given dynamic name. For instance, if the page contains "foo {{bar}}", it could show all titles which start with "Template:Foo".
