Created attachment 8543 [details] running checkuser on an account created by another user
[The steward Matanya found this bug.] 1. Log in. 2. Click on "Create a user" (or whatever link that goes to Special:UserLogin&type=signup) 3. Create a new account. 4. Run checkuser on the newly created account. The current result is that the no information is shown. The expected result is to show which IP address created the account, as it happens with accounts that were created by an anonymous user. If the newly created user edits a page, the IP is shown, but apparently stewards are having troubles with account-creation vandalism with accounts even before they made any edits.

This bug leads to an infinite abusive user name opening with no option to block the IP from creating user names. Please mark as critical.
I'm guessing the user hasn't logged in to use the account? there would be no ip in that case because they are not the one that created the account someone else did. Assuming that the person that created the account = the end user/abuser would be a bad move if you wanted to use that ip address.
