At [[de:WP:VV#Nachverfolgbarkeit von Menüeinträgen]] we got the request to show up the message pages in the linklists of the pages they are pointing to. For example [[Mediawiki:Contact-url]] should appear in [[Special:Linklist/Wikipedia:Contact]]. I already told the requester that this is not simple, but as it would be a nice feature I just file this bug for it. The only way I can consider is something like changing the contents of the messages to links, eg "[[Wikipedia:Contact]]" instead of "Wikipedia:Contact" and cutting off the brackets for building the real sidebar links.
On one hand that seems rather ugly for very little gain (aka perhaps this should be WONTFIX'd). On the other hand at this point, sidebar syntax is so horrible, it really wouldn't make it any worse. Personally I lean towards wontfix because its ugly, and doesn't even solve the problem in a general fashion since it requires the user to do something else special with the formatting, but that's just my opinion.
